Wrangling Writers’ Workshops

I’ve worked as a professional editor/writer for decades; during that time, I’ve published two books, earned an MFA (with high honors) in Creative Writing and written literally thousands of articles for print and online publications. At the same time, I’ve also had my “side hustle,” presenting hundreds of pop-culture programs at libraries, universities, conventions and more. Now those two parts of my life have coalesced, as I now lead the long-running writers’ workshop at the Bryant Library in Roslyn, NY.

Dubbed The Bryant Library Scribes, the group meets twice a month so members can present new work in progress, provide an open ear to each others’ offerings and share supportive, constructive insights. Some regular attendees are dead-set on getting published, while others write purely for the joy of it, but regardless of writing ambitions or ability, all are welcome.

If you’re a writer in the area, check the schedule at the library’s website and stop in; if you’re a library or other organization in search of a writing workshop leader, drop me a line and let’s talk!
