Nominated for the Neals (Again)!

I’m extremely pleased to share that Mix Magazine is up for two Neal Awards this year (the Pulitzers of B2B journalism). I’m up for ‘Best Range of Work by a Single Author’ and we’re finalists for ‘Best Single Issue.’

I co-edit Mix with Tom Kenny, and the “Best Single Issue” in question was our December 2023 edition, highlighting the debut of Las Vegas’ groundbreaking, $2.3 billion Sphere. The nomination is a credit to the great work our writers and freelance review team do every month, particularly Steve Harvey, who wrote the Sphere editorial package based on six months of behind-the-scenes interviews on-site at the Sphere in Las Vegas and its innovative media production facility in Burbank, CA.

Meanwhile, I’m excited to be up for ‘Best Range of Work by a Single Author!’ The nomination is due to four pieces I wrote, plus a video interview I did with the audio team behind the hit film Maestro, taped a few weeks before they were nominated for the Oscar for Best Sound. It’s my third time being nominated for this category, following nods in 2019 and 2023. Here’s hoping it’s my year!
